Project

10/22/09 I talked to a Karate instructor and he seemed interested in the project. He has to meet with some administrative people and let me know what they say. So, I am waiting on a response.

On a more productive note, Jade is excited about making shirts for us to wear on camera. She is busy working on designs. For now, I am just going to have the logo and/or website on them. When Jade has something really cool to put on a shirt, we will definitely wear those.

10/24/09 I went to get my hair done and told my hair stylist about the project. She is so cool; she just told me what we are doing with my hair. As I was leaving, she lectured me about coming in more often. Since I am going to be on camera, I am not allowed to have obnoxious roots. So, I have to come in more often during the project.

After meeting with her, I stopped by the Krav Maga training studio. One of the instructors seemed really excited about the project. We are going to meet next Wednesday to talk about legalities and semantics.

It is exciting to get closer to the actual training. I think I am going to start my workout routine next week. I am going to post it so that everyone can follow.

Project

10/15/09 My brochure is done. I have created a brochure that outlines the project so that communicating with the instructors is more efficient. We have a logo now, thanks to Gavin. Jade wanted to design the logo, so she is a little pissy about the new logo. I told her that she needs to work on designs for our shirts and sweatshirts. She got excited about that and has started working on it.

10/18/09 I started facebook and myspace pages last week. At first it was a lot of work and I found it to be pretty annoying. Now, I am seeing the benefits. I am starting to enjoy not only catching up on old friends, but also chatting with new ones. The interest groups are great and I am meeting many, many people. I am excited to start putting training pics up.

10/21/09 Kevin bought a the first season of a show called “Human Weapon.” It is great! Two guys train for a week or so with different masters of a martial art and then fight a master at the end of training. The fight at the end of the training seems dumb, but watching the training is awesome! I would love to go and train with masters… well, maybe not. I think that I will already look stupid while I am training, it would be worse with a master.

Project

10/14/09

I am telling everyone, that seem interested, about the project. The feedback that I am getting is very encouraging. I think my theory is right on. Women want to learn how to defend themselves but, don’t really know where to start. Several women have told me that they do have the questions I want to answer. That is great to hear! I am already selling my book and it isn’t even written.

Project

10/13/09

Okay, so I have a list of the martial arts that I want to take and in what order. I am having trouble finding an instructor or school for Capoiera so I have to make some changes. At this point I am starting with Krav Maga, Aikido and either Eskrima or Karate. It is going to depend on the instructors. I guess we will see.

Project

10/10/09

My back is so sore, I feel like I am pregnant. Doing sit-ups has always been my answer to the chronic lower back pain that followed my pregnancies. I wake up often with back pain and find it difficult to get back to sleep. My legs are cramping and feel achy. I can’t wait to start walking/running again. I hope others start training with me that would be pretty cool.

Project

10/08/09

To prepare for this project I have not been running nor have I been doing my abdominal routine. I want to get at a baseline and work my way slowly up during the training. After my initial soreness from the training is done, I will start walking/running and then add the abdominal workout. If anyone wants to train with me, you will be able to follow along. I would love to hear about your training experiences.
